Harmony of the Gorge (formerly named Hood River Valley) became an officially chartered chapter in Sweet Adelines International in December, 1983. We are part of an international organization of approximately 28,000 women singers committed to advancing the musical art form of barbershop harmony through education and performance.

We have earned many awards in our region (Oregon, SW Washington, Idaho and Montana) including: First Place Small Chorus, Second Place Overall, Most Improved Chorus, Small Chorus Award, Overall Third Place, Overall Fourth Place, and the traveling trophy for most attendance at regional educational events.

We have members from the Columbia River Gorge area who gather in Hood River every Thursday night to share an evening of four-part harmony, musical challenge and fun. Singers come from Hood River, Carson, Lyle, Odell, White Salmon, Stevenson, North Bonneville, Parkdale, Klickitat, Dallesport, Mosier, and The Dalles.
